We are probably all familiar with the ongoing fight to secure the future of The Swan at Ley Hill as a community-run pub. We may not be aware that local authorities hold lists of Assets of Community Value, on which some pubs are included. A listing helps the local community to fight any subsequent application for change of use. The Chiltern Society’s Save our Pubs Group invites input into building up a register of all the pubs in the Chiltern Society area; where appropriate, they will apply for a pub to be listed as an Asset of Community Value.
